How to be an Artist and a Mom

When my kids were babies (11 months and 23 months), I couldn’t take the lack of art in my life any longer. I decided to commit, and I painted a small 4×6 water-based work every single day. I did this for about 1 1/2 years, and it kick-started me into my current painting career. For anyone struggling to make room for art in their lives, I highly recommend this. It takes 15-30 minutes, and if you have the paper cut ahead of time, it’s easy to sit down and do a quick sketch. I am now thinking of going back into some of these sketches and develop them into finished paintings.
